We Organize Neighborhood Support

The ever-growing number of elderly people in need of care increases the demand for caregivers.

Unfortunately, their number is not directly proportional to the needs. Hence, it is necessary to awaken sensitivity to the plight of the elderly in society and the readiness to help them by people in the immediate neighborhood.

As part of neighborly help, the “W TROSCE O ŻYCIE” Foundation organizes and motivates groups of neighbors ready to help in emergency situations and with small, everyday tasks that often pose a challenge for our wards.

Neighborly help plays a key role in the lives of the elderly for many reasons::

Ease of Access

Neighbors are often the closest people who can quickly respond to the needs of the elderly, especially in emergencies.

Sense of Security

Knowing that someone is nearby and can help in an emergency provides seniors with a greater sense of security and peace of mind.

Daily Assistance

Neighbors can help the elderly with daily activities such as shopping, dressing, washing, minor home repairs, or pet care.

Social Interaction

Contacts with neighbors can also prevent social isolation, providing seniors with opportunities for conversations, meetings, or joint activities.

Early Detection of Problems

Neighbors may notice changes in the behavior or living conditions of the elderly, which may indicate health problems or other difficulties. Early detection of such signs can enable quicker help.

Mutual Assistance

Thanks to neighborhood relationships, seniors can also offer support and help to other neighbors, which can build strong social bonds and strengthen the sense of community.

Neighborly help is an important element of social support that contributes to better functioning and well-being of the elderly.
