Restoring Mobility

Home rehabilitation for the elderly is a process of restoring or improving their functional abilities and mobility.

Individuals who have suffered injuries due to accidents, trauma, or loss of mobility due to illness or old age are often left on their own, without support, proper equipment, or guidance in performing the right exercises.

The rehabilitation care offered by the FOUNDATION not only benefits the individual but also relieves the national system, which is unable to assist every person in need.

Home rehabilitation provided by the FOUNDATION includes:

Assessment and Planning

At the beginning of the process, a comprehensive assessment of the patient's health and functions is conducted to identify their needs and rehabilitation goals. Based on this information, a personalized therapeutic plan is created.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists work with patients to improve muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Exercises are usually performed individually. If appropriate, rehabilitation sessions can also be conducted in groups.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists (caregivers) lead activities aimed at improving functional skills and daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and dressing. This helps patients regain independence in performing daily tasks.

Speech and Language Therapy

For elderly individuals who have experienced strokes or other neurological issues, speech therapists can help improve communication and swallowing functions.

Patient and Caregiver Education

An important element of rehabilitation is educating patients and their caregivers about their health condition, ways to cope with daily challenges, and preventing further injuries or health deterioration.

Home rehabilitation improves the quality of life and well-being of seniors. It enables them to be as independent and active as possible in daily life. It also has a preventive effect, preventing further health deterioration and physical impairment.
